
AZF is committed to providing Vocational training and support to women and juvenile inmates to rehabilitate and properly integrate them into the society. The types of training and support vary in different industries. Past trainings have focused on technical trades such as ceramics, carpentry, dressmaking, beading, tie-n-dye, and batik designs. Ex-incarcerated individuals have utilized these skills to become productive members of society when they complete their sentence. The economic empowerment they achieve also helps to achieve the targets within SDG1.
AZF has conducted multiple sensitizations of maternal, newborn, and child health (MNCH) education within the female prisons. The purpose of the MNCH education is to further prevent unwanted and teen pregnancies, leading to increased rural and peri-urban populations. AZF is expanding our health trainings to now include non-communicable disease (NCD) sensitizations in their prison programs. The purpose of incorporating NCD good health practices is to promote good health and well-being of citizens, so they are healthy and productive members in their community. This NCD program will allow the targets in SDG3 to be fulfilled.

AZF additionally helps women and youth in these rural and peri-urban communities to have equal access to quality and affordable education. This is to eliminate gender and wealth disparities, and achieve universal access to a quality higher education. This will help achieve the target of SDG4.
There are still huge inequalities in the labour market in some regions, with women systematically denied equal access to job. AZF provides vocational training such as dressing making, tie &die, beading, batik design to women to work with these skills. This is to assist them to increase in their resources as these skills acquired make them financially independent. This will help achieve target of SDG5.
